Virtual Fairways is a birthday party venue in Darlington with three 4K golf simulator bays: from £27 an hour per bay*, or the whole venue from £81 an hour.
Most birthday nights out put the birthday person at the head of a table and leave them there. Here they're in the bay taking the first shot, and everyone else is stood round the same screen with a drink, arguing about whether it counts. Nobody drifts off to another room, because the whole night happens in one place.
Mixed abilities, on purpose
The simulator adapts to every level, so the friend who plays off scratch and the one who has never held a club are in the same contest. Closest to the pin is regularly won by the beginner.
Any age of adult
Thirtieths, fortieths, sixtieths — it plays the same. No dress code, no golf shoes, no experience required. Bringing older kids along? They're always welcome, supervised by a parent or guardian.
Weeknight or weekend daytime
We're open Wednesday to Sunday, weekday evenings from 3pm and weekends from 10am. A midweek birthday gets a quieter room; a Saturday afternoon leaves the evening free for dinner.

Everything is priced per bay*. Four to six play per bay, spectators are welcome on top, and balls and tees are included (club hire is £10).
One bay, 1–2 hours
From £27 an hour. Four sharing works out around £12.75 each for the hour. Closest to the pin and longest drive on rotation, then nine holes on a course the birthday person has always wanted to play. Book it online in a couple of minutes.
Two bays, 2–3 hours
Up to twelve playing side by side at twice the per-bay rate. Teams drawn on arrival, a scramble across both bays and scores on every screen, with drinks and snacks brought to the bay so nobody has to leave their turn.
Whole venue
All three bays and the bar to yourselves from £81 an hour. Your playlist, your people and nobody else's party at the next bay. Message us with numbers and a date and we'll come back with a plan.
How to book it.
One bay
Book online through TrackMan, pick your slot and turn up. Ask for the TrackMan bay if the birthday person wants the full numbers on every shot.
Two bays or the whole place
Message us on WhatsApp or use the group enquiry form with your headcount, rough date and how long you want. We'll set the bays up before you arrive.
How long?
Three or four players get round nine holes in about an hour. It's billed in 30-minute blocks, so you can extend on the day if the contest isn't settled. Standard rates are on the pricing page.

Decorations, cake, a surprise arrival — just ask. Message us and we'll tell you honestly what we can do.
Buying it as a present?
If you're the friend or partner doing the organising, a gift voucher is the easy version. An hour in a bay is £27, or pick any amount you like. It redeems against any bay booking, is valid for 12 months, and there's a printed voucher if you want something to wrap.
Hand it over on the day, let them pick the date, and the birthday party organises itself.

Does anyone need golf experience?
Everyone's welcome, whatever your level. Whether you've never picked up a club or you're playing off scratch, the simulator adapts to you. It's a relaxed, pressure-free way to have a go.
Do we need our own clubs?
Club hire is £10; balls and tees are included in your bay hire, along with the tech. Prefer your own clubs? Bring them along. Either way, just turn up and play.
How many people can play per bay?
Each bay comfortably fits a group of up to four to six players, at £27 an hour*. Spectators are very welcome on top, and can settle in at the bar with a drink.
