Nobody has to be good at golf.
The problem with most stag and hen activities in Darlington is that somebody always ends up sitting it out — too competitive, too physical, or just too early in the day. A simulator bay has the opposite problem: the person who has never held a club tends to win closest-to-the-pin, and nobody lets the golfer forget it.
Shots take seconds. The screen does the scoring and the arguing. Between turns everyone's stood at the same bay with a drink, which is where the actual do happens — not staring at the back of someone's head in a queue.
Four to six per bay
Priced per bay rather than per person, so a group of six costs the same as a group of three. Spectators are free and welcome — handy for the ones who've peaked early.
Fully licensed
Beers, wines, spirits and cocktails, plus casual food served straight to the bay. You don't have to break the day to eat, and nobody loses the group on the walk to a restaurant.
Warm, dry and indoors
A North East stag do in February is a weather gamble. This one isn't — and it works just as well at 11am as it does at 9pm.

Tell us the numbers and how long you've got, and we'll set the bays up before you arrive. Three that work particularly well:
The warm-up (1 hour). One bay, closest to the pin and longest drive on rotation. Good as the opener before food, or as the sober-ish start to a longer night.
The showdown (2–3 hours). Two or three bays, teams, a nine-hole scramble on a course everyone has heard of, and live scores on every screen. This is the one that generates the group-chat material.
The takeover (half day). All three bays and the bar to yourselves from £81 an hour. Bring your own playlist. We'll handle the rest.

Kit
None needed. Clubs are here, balls and tees are here, and trainers are fine. Nobody has to buy anything or dress up for it.
Timing
We're open Wednesday to Sunday. Weekend afternoons and evenings go first, so give us as much notice as you can — especially for two or three bays at once.
Getting here
Lingfield Way, Darlington, with free on-site parking and taxis five minutes from town. An easy run from Durham, Stockton and Middlesbrough — drive times and map.
