Indoors, the same day compresses into a morning or an afternoon. Everyone plays regardless of ability, the scoring runs itself, and the conversations that a team day is actually for happen between shots rather than three fairways apart.

How a corporate golf day in Darlington runs.
Half day (3–4 hours). All three bays from £81 an hour, teams drawn on arrival, a nine-hole scramble and a closest-to-the-pin decider. Drinks and snacks to the bay partway through. Out by lunch, or in for the afternoon.
Full day. The above with a longer format, a break, and a second round after the break — enough structure to justify the diary block, loose enough that people can actually talk.

How many can we bring?
Four to six play per bay and spectators are welcome on top, so three bays comfortably handle a team of eighteen — more if you're rotating with food and drinks.
Do they need to play golf?
No. Clubs are available to hire (£10), balls and tees are included, the tech does the scoring, and complete beginners are usually the ones causing the upsets. If they get curious, what the numbers on the screen mean is a two-minute read.
Food and drink?
Fully licensed bar — Prosecco, beer, wines, spirits, juice, soft drinks and fresh coffee — with bar snacks to the bay as standard. Snacks rather than meals, so if your day needs proper catering, say so when you enquire and we'll talk you through it, along with any dietary requirements.
Where are you?

I recently visited Virtual Fairways and had an absolutely fantastic experience. I actually brought a couple of clients along for a round, and it turned out to be the perfect setting for both golf and a quick catch-up meeting afterwards. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and incredibly welcoming. The team were friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about making sure everyone had a great time. It’s not always easy to find a venue that feels both professional enough for hosting clients and relaxed enough to enjoy a game, but Virtual Fairways strikes that balance perfectly. The golf itself was superb. The Trackman bay was genuinely incredible — the level of detail and feedback it provides is seriously impressive. That said, the ProTee bays were excellent as well. One feature I particularly appreciated was the swing recording. Being able to watch my swing back helped me finally understand the real reason behind my slices. After adjusting my stance and grip based on what I could see, I was already noticing improvements. My clients had a brilliant time too, and it made for a really enjoyable and productive outing. It’s a great venue if you want to combine business with a bit of fun. All in all, this is easily the best indoor golf simulator venue in the area. Between the high-quality technology, the welcoming environment, and the outstanding customer service, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. I’ll definitely be back — and likely bringing more clients with me.
Today was my first time using a golf simulator, it was easy to operate on and use. All of the clubs were available to use or you are allowed to bring your own. There's 3 simulators, so you can take large groups for parties or team building days. The building is clean and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I am by no means a golf player and never will be, but I had fun and enjoyed myself the experience is tailored to all, it is good fun for all ability levels and I highly recommend this business for all to enjoy.
